The Short Version
We collect your email address when you give it to us, plus a little technical metadata (user agent + timestamp). That's basically it.
What We Collect
When you submit the interest form on our landing page, we store:
- Your email address — so we can notify you when CodeCadre launches
- Your browser's user agent string — so we know what platforms our future users are on (helps us prioritize compatibility)
- A timestamp — so we know when you signed up
We don't run ad trackers or sell your data.
We do use Google reCAPTCHA (sets a necessary cookie to block spam),
and we may use analytics to understand traffic in aggregate (like page views).
How We Use It
Your email will be used exclusively to:
- Notify you when CodeCadre is available
- Send occasional updates about development progress (if you're into that)
The user agent data is aggregated anonymously to understand our audience's browser/platform distribution. We're not building profiles or doing anything creepy with it.
Data Removal
Want your data removed? Email [email protected] and we'll delete it. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through.
Third-Party Services
We use:
- Firebase (Google) — for storing form submissions and hosting
- Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics) — to understand basic site usage (like page views) in aggregate.
- Google reCAPTCHA — for spam prevention on the signup form
These services have their own privacy policies. Google's is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Your Choices
We're not trying to identify you personally with analytics.
Opt-out — If you don't want to be in analytics, you can block it in your browser (content blockers work), or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. (This stops future analytics; it doesn't delete your waitlist email—email us for that.)
EU/UK — We'll ask before enabling analytics where consent is required.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
